Ronald Flynn: Living the Environmental Dream

Ron Flynn
Ronald Shane Flynn or Ron Flynn is the Founder of Spectrum Blue Steel Corporation (SBSC), also the CEO and Founder of True Green Energy Group (TGEG). His aspirations simply make environmental sense. When he established Spectrum Blue Steel Corporation, on his mind is to protect the environment and achieve a zero waste community wherein a sustainable future awaits the world. He wants to build a company that continuously provides green solutions to the ever growing environmental problems of our world. In June 2, 2008, he finally established the SBSC with a mindset of making his aspirations come true. SBSC has an exclusive license agreement between GEECF and Biosphere Development Corp. to deploy the biosphere process system worldwide. The company is currently distributing the biosphere system in the Philippines.

We all know that waste is generated in all sorts of ways. It is considered to be the end product of both natural and artificial processes such as manufacturing, chemical reactions, and even events in biochemical pathways. And these wastes have caused air and water pollution which affects not only our environment but also public health. However, Flynn believes that is it possible that nothing can go to waste – since every waste can be converted into something useful through the biosphere process system. This technology is a form of gasification process wherein it can convert municipal solid waste into green energy. The good news is many technologies like the biosphere process are now available to eliminate this kind of problems. Flynn is working with various people particularly the local government officials to encourage the use of this technology for efficient solid waste management.

Through the help of many individuals like Ronald Flynn, we can all live the environmental dream of protecting the environment while making this world a better place to live in.

Whether we accept it or not, we need reliable solution for the wastes problems in the Philippines. And landfill is not the answer. Aside from the fact that landfills exhaust lands that can be used for development, these landfills also take along problems in the communities including contamination of groundwater and health problems.

Putting wastes in order

Solid wastes problems in the Philippines has been an issue even years ago and it certainly add up to the growing effects of global warming. Although the Philippine government tries to eliminate it but up to now it is still one of the major problems of the Filipino community. This wastes problem has been addressed by the local government through implementing the solid waste management system to every community. But the question here is; how sustainable is this system to reduce the generated waste daily? The answer--it is not sustainable at all. The result is quiet visible in congested cities all over the Philippines. According to a study, the Philippines generates more than 10,000 tons of solid wastes per day. Imagine the garbage crisis that the Philippines is facing every day. It’s tons of garbage piled in every corner. Actually, it’s not the solid waste management system that is difficult to sustain but the implementation. Good thing there are numerous companies who strive hard to help countries with these kind of problems. SBSC (Spectrum Blue Steel Corporation) is one of these companies who continuously endeavor for a cleaner and greener environment.

Spectrum Blue Steel Corporation is a local company duly registered under the laws of the Philippines which also serves as the management arm of the Spectrum Blue Steel Consultants. SBSC has an exclusive license to market, sell, or lease, install, and operate the Biosphere Process in the Philippines. The Biosphere Process or Biosphere Technology is a gasification process wherein it destroys traditional and non-traditional waste materials to generate electricity. SBSC believes that through biosphere technology we can eliminate the serious environmental issues brought by wastes problems.

SBSC has now existing biosphere projects agreements with some of the local government units in the Philippines. SBSC has MOA with City of San Fernando, Sta. Rosa Nueva Ecija, Naga City, Tanjay City, Dumaguete City and Bayawan City. In fact the construction of the biosphere facility in City of San Fernando, Pampanga has already started and more biosphere projects are set to be built in various cities and municipalities of the Philippines.
